icon: "eccentric (a photo of me tilting my head and with raised eyebrows and a pursed-lipped smile)"Last night I streamlined my profile (to the most stripped-down it has ever been), and while doing that I skimmed over the last few months of posts to make sure I was being accurate in listing the kinds of things I write about. I realized that I haven ( Read more... )

I'll try with you! My entries will likely be more scattered than yours, lol, but I'll try!

I admire how well thought out your entries are, you seem very self aware. I look forward to more personal entries, as well, though. Your last entry concerning conflicts and relationship dynamics was especially interesting.

I hear you over your thoughts on only wanting to knock out posts that are complete and thorough in some way. I feel the same and it too leads me to not post as much sometimes. I look forward to following your 22 day challenge :-) I won't say "I'll join you" in case I don't manage to but I want to try and post more.

Hi :) I saw your post on add_me and came across to say hello. Honestly your profile page is one of the most refreshing things I've seen online in a very long time. I'm not sure I'm as clued up as I'd like to be about some of the world but if you'd like to be friends I'd learn a lot I think, and gladly accept any input too.

I'm 20, almost 21. From Ireland. White, straight, pretty much belong to one of the more privileged groups. But I am exploring feminism and the dynamic between women and "sex workers" (as I am one) who seemingly are not seen as women worthy of feminism in my personal experience. It's on my mind a lot lately.

I am excited to read more from you. Take care.

hi! glad to meet you!

Mainstream feminism definitely has its own problems, due to the history of it being a movement of rich white women fighting to be allowed to work -- when all poor women and women of color had always worked! I think that is part of the anti-sex-worker trend in mainstream feminism too.

Intersectional feminism is more my thing, based on the idea that you literally can't fight sexist oppression unless you also fight racism, ableism, transphobia, sex worker phobia, classism, etc, because all oppression reinforces other oppression.
