I think you imply that you're completing a degree in stats. If so, congratulations! I empathise with the need to see your real name on such an important qualification. It's important in a personal way and also because you (I assume) don't want your old name to follow you for year after year.

It's possible to earn dosh as a freelance web designer. I know somebody who does it.

Actually my degree is in sociology with a stats minor (but it is stats I want to go into). thanks for the empathy!

One of these years I'll understand the USian way of 'majoring' in one subject and 'minoring' in another. I'd quite like to know how the academics who teach 'minors' feel about that. If anybody asked me to teach Parasitology as a minor, to undergrads whose majors were in other subjects, I don't know how I'd feel. I'd do it for the dosh, obvs, but I don't know whether I'd enjoy it.

If you're still undecided about how to present your hard-copy portfolio, I suggest asking your Univ's printing service. Those people will have printed and bound coursework and theses many times. Once I required a children's toy to use on my stall at an agricultural show: Pin the Lamb on the Sheep. The printing service made that toy for a reasonable fee.

Snapchat eh? I see my friends with it. Last thing I want are means in which people can scry into my daily habits...I don't have an instagram account too. But, if it is worth it, I will consider it.

Snapchat has been surprisingly good for me, but if the idea of people peering into your daily habits doesn't appeal to you, I can't imagine that you would enjoy it!
