TBC 2014: workshop 4 "birds of a feather: artists and crafters" and opening ritual

I went to a gathering called "birds of a feather: artists and crafters" which was really great because it made me feel validated in my art/craftwork somehow, I think because people had such varied things that they referred to as their art or craft and I realized that oh yeah, I actually spend a lot of time and energy on art. Crafty parties sound awesome! If I hadn't been a first-timer and went to that BoaF I would have gone to the crafty one. :)

I had no idea how to mentally prepare since it was my first time, so I was just nervous.

I really need to hook up with local crafters.

I think creative people bring creativity to whatever craft happens to be their vocation. I went to a bakery yesterday and they have "honey bunnies" every Easter, which is honey-wheat bread dough formed into a bunny shape before baking.

I move bits around for a living and I do it creatively! Although it's frowned upon if you happen to be an accountant. These days innovation has been a huge buzzword-- and what is that if not creativity?
