I love this tree so freaking much. It's beautiful. Where did the fairies come from?

thanks so much! The faeries came from several places -- I think I got one or two at a thrift store, I stole the first one from a friend as a child (I know right? wtf.), and most of them I got from ebay. I used to steal things as a child if I felt they weren't getting loved the way I would love them.

Stealing is wrong, yes, but I completely relate to the impulse to steal things from friends when they're not getting loved. I was the same way, and as an adult, I still really struggle when people mistreat objects that seem to me to have some sor of animate consciousness.

So I'm glad you rescued them :-)

*giggles* I feel guilty in some ways but also not. I mean, I still have that faerie 25 years later, in the same condition, and it has the central spot in a work of art I made just for it (it's my favorite one). I checked to see if she cared about it first, at six years old. I dunno. I don't steal as an adult because it upsets other people and it's illegal, but not because I think it is inherently wrong. I very much feel that things should belong to those who will love them. I get really upset when people own instruments they never play or cameras they never use, etc.
