I love presents; getting and giving. I get more excited about giving them because there's such a process to it; first I decide I want to get the person a gift, then I think about the things that connect me to them, and find a gift that says, "I know you, I value you, I connect with you." This is something we very much have in common. I have always really enjoyed giving and receiving gifts from you because of the amount of thought that goes into it. The first thing I hung up in my new room was one of the cuttlefish paintings you got me. And I really loved making your little forest, it felt like a physical manifestation of love in a way that very few things do. Something I miss about going to Burns is spending time making little inexpensive gifts to give to random people that make me smile.

Well how about that, I actually had to read "The Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down", which is on one of your booklists. I read it in an ethnography class in college when I was finishing up my major in religion. I may still have it.
