Out of curiosity, do you mean when the book itself seems to espouse these views, or when the characters do? Because of course some characters in some books are supposed to have unsavory views. I totally understand your perspective if the book itself seems to espouse those views, though.

I would love to read the Anne Fausto-Sterling book. When I was at university, my last semester I took a class on Gender Studies and it totally changed me. I´ve actually read a fair number of her articles from academic journals, but never a book. And considering you gave it five stars, I couldn´t be disappointed.

Also, I truly am not usually a sci fi reader, but those books the Powers That Be etc. sound really intriguing to me.
