I have a few friends in the area, but one will may be "homeless" and the other two live in tiny rented rooms out of people's houses! :(

San Fran might be the perfect spot to try couchsurfing... PM a few folks and see what you can find! I have no doubt that something will work out for you regardless~ <3

I live like half an hour away (anywhere from 20-40 mins depending on time of day for driving). Perhaps not ideal buuut if you don't find anything closer, you are quite welcome here!

I'd have to check in and stuff about how long... but for the most part I think I'd just need an idea in advance... for how long did you think you'd want to be in the area?

I was thinking somewhere between one and two weeks, depending on the number of people I can find to host me and how cheaply I can find a hotel for the rest of the time. ;-)
