How lovely. Those pictures are touching. I feel the very same way about wolves (I have a wolf's paw print tattoo on my lower back for this very reason), and my mother felt the same way about bears.
I had a thought that might help: Animals are ever changing. They adapt to fit their surroundings and change as they need to, in order to survive. It's possible the aspects of your animals are ingrained within you as second-nature, but disliking/liking the cold doesn't serve you anyway, so that's why it's not present in your shifted state. It's your HUMAN preference, because you're being gifted with the power of the animal, but are still a creature in your own, adaptable right, yourself.

I very much see you as a snow leopard, and I understand what you were talking about with the cobra. And the OTTER!! Oh my gosh, that's so one of mine, I think, the playfulness, ee! Especially in water.
