heh, yeah, now that I've gotten that feeling out of my mouth!

I've dealt with a lot of aggravation from my biological family... The thing is, I don't need (or even want) any of them involved in my life.

Then again, out of four parents (2 bio, 2 adopted), the only one alive now is the one I outright loathe. I'm an orphan and a half? I dunno. The only ones I miss are a couple siblings.

yeah, I'm of the opinion that biological family should be treated the same as everyone else. To do otherwise is just blood-prejudice, in my mind.

Well, some family I'm still close to, and always have been. They've been there for me, despites difficulties, despite the ups and downs, and accept me as I am. They're also the sort of people that I'd have been friends with anyway, if I'd met them otherwise. The fact that there's a genetic relation just made meeting them easier.
