wow, you seem pretty knowledgeable on the subject! I don't know how to knit, so I don't know anything about it. I'll keep your tips in mind as I look for a crafter!

If you decide to make it yourself, I recommend looking at the books for "Mile-a-Minute Crochet". Many of them have patterns for very quick and easy strips/squares you can use as building blocks for the pattern, and as a bonus they're often done in such a way that changing colors in the pattern is trivial.

I'd start working on one, but I have a few other projects I want to finish first (a wool hat to match the scarf I made from the same yarn, an amigurumi doll I've been dying to start, and I'm debating whether or not to do a 'Weighted Companion Cube' amigurumi afterwards. XD)

Reiki rocks! My husband and I have used it on each other, you can also do self-Reiki, which I've done and it works great too.

Both of my grandmothers and my parents are really into Unity church. I have to say that it was one of the few (fleeting) church experiences I had as a child that did not frighten me or make me feel stupid or evil or mean. I was the oldest in the children's program when I was twelve, and at that time in my life, we had moved away from a school where I was very popular to a completely new state - and to a school where most of the other children had celebrity parents. It was my first experience with really being cast out, and Unity made me feel like I actually belonged somewhere (my parents were in a rough patch then, so there was no support there ( ... )

I love hearing about people's good experiences with churches ;-) thanks for sharing yours!

I hope you do visit the unity church in your neighborhood!

I'm so glad that you talked to me at Unity. I was sitting there thinking the same thing when Bill was talking about surrounding yourself with happy people. I've been going to Unity (on and off) for a couple of years, and I always tell myself I need to meet people who go there, but I never do.

I know what you mean about people who have "open-minded arrogance." I hope I'm not like that, but sometimes I'm afraid that I am. I like Unity though because so many people can get so many different things out of it. I go mainly for the positive energy. And to remind myself that everything really is okay. Sometimes I get so stressed out with life that I forget that everything is beautiful, we are all connected, and I love everyone. And Unity always reminds me of that.

Okay, on another note, you used to work on a farm!? That's awesome! You'll have to tell me more about that.

Oh, and I love all the pics of the curvy chicks. Hotness!

oh I SO know what you mean! I feel that way too ♥

Yeah, for about 6 months I worked on a dairy goat farm. Craziness! Maybe next time we meet up I'll tell you about it. ;-)

on the pics of the curvy chicks -- are you referring to my slideshow on myspace? I have curvygirl photos everywhere, haha.

You used to work on a farm? That's awesome! When I was a kid, I used to want to move out to the country some day and work on a farm. I think it's in my blood; that's what my ancestors did. (But then again, so many of our ancestors were once farmers!)

You'll feel so much better after you start working out! I joined a gym a few months ago, and I go two or three times a week, and I feel so much better about my well being.

yep, a dairy goat farm! It's not something I'd want to do again, but I'm glad I had the experience!

I can't wait to get started, for real! I'm really looking forward to it.
