I don't have googletalk, but I was wondering if your aversion of AIM has to do with the ads or the way its set up? Because you can get an instant messenger client (I use gaim, it allows me to use several of my IM clients at once. I showed it to kmiotutsie and she seemed to like it) that will allow you to overstep those boundaries, and there are never ads, and you don't have to have AIM or whatever even downloaded to your computer.

I think I might be about to download googletalk, but I might have to buy a new harddrive, mine is totally small, and filled up atm.
