of interest to curvy girls, potterfans, and those who love either/both.

Rowling slams 'emaciated' models (possibly triggering to those recovering from EDs) )

So....you are saying the body image those girls present isn't realistic ?

you trying to tell me that all real girls don't look like a bag of antlers ? (insert humor here). I totally agree. I hate watching any type of runway model event....they all look sickly.

Longish comment, sorry. writer_lilies May 2 2006, 14:14:23 UTC
Well here's where I pop in and wonder about things. My cousin eats everything in sight and she's that thin. She doesn't look sick or anything, but she's just naturally skinny. I'm sure people think she has eating disorders, but when you've watched someone eat half a cheesecake after eating dinner, you kinda have to wonder whether or not some of the models really are telling the truth. I do agree with you and the article, but I think thin girls get a bad rap sometimes. I've given them one myself, but that was out of defensiveness on my part ( ... )

I kinda agree with you too. But, I think if a woman is missing her shape, she's missing a big part of what makes her a woman. Weird comment. Just throw it aside.

I agree with everything you said. Naturally skinny girls do get a bad rap, especially my best friend who gets publicly ridiculed for her thinness and she's been this way since day one due to having a high metabolism. What's even more ironic is that she's the most unsuperficial girl I know, yet people treat her like a victim of today's media. "Oh, that poor anorexic girl... someone feed her and tell her she's beautiful!" My best friend nor other skinny girls do not need anyone's reassurance that she's beautiful. And they most certainly don't deserved to be judged as "empty-headed, self-obssessed emaciated clones" just because of how they look. LOL That's just as wrong as wrong as calling obesed people food-obsessed, lazy pigs ( ... )

Yeah I agree too. Maybe they give some of their money to charity though. They'd kinda have to do with taxes I'd assume.
