i´m logged in from an internet office in the hotel i am staying at: hotel sucre in oruro. i am not sure why the name of the hotel is sucre, that is the name of another city in bolivia. i passed by this other hotel called the grand boston. ( click )
dude! i so totally needed more tp. my saving grace was that i had a little bag of kleenex tissue that i had brought wiht me. i have learnt my lesson, i will buy TP as soon as i can and carry it with me. the only prob though is that their TP is not at all smooth, it is not very fun to wipe yourself with something that is as rough as the cheapo paper towels.
dude i am 110% certain that if i got anywhere near a bathroom where there is already a bathroom attendant, they almost always are cholas, which is the term used for the indigenous women with the wide skirts and bowler hats, she would totally cut me. they are fierce.
i think what would be funner is if i brought back my coarse TP and stationed myself outside some public restroom in the states and tried to sell it to the patrons for 25 cents, 2Bs. is about a quarter.
wow, interesting. blockades really are the working class' way of making a point. my parents were stuck in ecuador for quite a while b/c all the roads to quito were blocked by protesters.
