I live dangerously... Jodie Foster in Japan

Sep 16, 2008 18:43

Jodie Foster came to Japan last month to promote Nim's Island.   I used to be a big fan of hers and still like her a lot.  Usually this movie is not my type, but I'm interested in seeing how she does in a comedy.  The movie opened here on September 6 and has been doing not really successfully, so most likely I won't be able to make it on time.  But ( Read more... )

I saw the trailer for Nim's Island quite a few times and every time I kept on thinking to myself, "Oh dear, that movie looks so lame!" Apparently it was, too. ;) But it could be enjoyable still - like, Mamma Mia was super-lame but still funny!

I love Sandy's hair in that picture! But I agree with you... the outfit? Hmmm. Not so much.

I don't think I'll enjoy Nim's Island anyway. It could be kinda awkward to see Jodie's comedic role. Oh, I can't wait to see Mamma Mia...in January!

That's Sandy's one of those "What were you thinking?" moments. Maybe she disguised to see someone secretly? Hee!

Oh, I watched the clip of SNL. That's hilarious. There are words I can't catch, but still, I laughed a lot! Tina is great!

Fair enough! I never saw it either. It definitely looked awkward - the whole film, not just Jodie's role!

Oh, I certainly hope that's what Sandy was doing, hee!

Tina is so awesome! She did Sarah Palin perfectly. I've watched it so many times now, and I still laugh!

I'm glad that I had known about that "Bush Doctrine" thing before I watched that skit. LOL! Just a couple of days before, I watched that awkward interview. Tina is so great. I'll definitely start digging her performances, which actually would be hard because she's not known here. But I'll check on YouTube!

I wasn't aware that this film is showing in theaters now. My sister told me that she has the DVD ripped from the net so she will lend it to me after she watched it. I'm looking forward to see how she performed in this kind of film.

Oh, and Sandy, her hair is beautiful but I don't like the blouse she is wearing. Hmm,,, but she looks even younger in this outfit.

Sorry for my dull comments, I'm kind of sleepy & my mind is not functioning well (as usual ??), hehee!

Mornin' sleepybud! What a coincidence, my head & mind are not functioning, either!

Let me know what you think of Jodie's comedienne-ish act.

Yeah, Sandy looks even younger. It might have been better, well, in my eyes, if she doesn't wear leggins, or if she wears leggins with a long sweater or something. I just don't like the combination of shorts + leggins there.

Coincidence, that's the word for what are we doing most of the time, lol !

Sure, I'll let you know. Or, if it is really the same film that my sister have, I'll ask if she can let me lend it to you. Hope my sis is not confused with what she mentioned about Jodie's recent film. Is there other Jodie Foster starring film that has shown recently apart from this one ?

Well, Sandy's shorts + leggins look doesn't that bad (for me). I guess, she chosen the outfit for a change. *chuckless*

Right, that's why I'm replying to you so quickly. I mean, I should get a life! LOL!

I think "Nim's Island" is the only film Jodie has this year... her last film was "Brave One", which was last year and completely different, so I guess your sister must be talking about the same film. Thanks for offering. Yeah, it'd be nice, but only if you enjoy it! LOL! I'll let you taste it first. Hee!

Sandy's kept fit, which is good. She often puts on quite a bit while she's not working. I want her hair.
