I really enjoyed this piece--very elegant in its simplicity, the refrain of the holiday. It was beautiful.

And such a good use of the prompt! Probably the most original take I've seen so far--and it wasn't even a tenuous stretch or play on words.

Thanks!
I knew if I was going to take the UDF literally I had to try for a unique angle on it. Glad it's working.

That's really cool. I knew there was a Roman baking holiday, but I'd never known much about it, and I didn't know about the constellation at all.

I'm surprised about the constellation, especially since it's just three stars (actually one is binary, but it's three points of light to the naked eye), takes some imagination to make something out of basically a widely-drawn angle. Thanks!

Hmm, maybe they applied for a bigger one, but the jeweler's guild bribed it to accept them instead, and the bakers got stuck with the leftover constellation?

You're welcome! :)

Beautiful! This was a really great take on the prompt - I loved your language, and slipping further back in time, connected by the holiday and the bread. This classicist salutes your honoring of the holiday!

Thank you! For a not-very-long entry I put a LOT of work and thought into it -- more than I'd expected =)
