Loved this line: "'That reminds me, I was talking with J.C. the other day,' -- ah, there it is, the inevitable name-drop of the Boss’s son..." :-D

Lovely way to intersect with dblicher. I'm so sorry she's leaving, but I guess that means you're safe! Not that you needed to worry. Well done, both of you. <3

Beautiful, funny and clever :) I've been thinking about India a lot lately since I went in December and want to go back, and it's so cool that it came upin your piece - you started me thinking about that country right before the paragraph where it arrived! Not sure if you've heard of Varanasai, but that's where I'm going next - it's a sacred city, and if you die there, you can choose to either skip reincarnation and go straight to Nirvana, or be guaranteed reincarnation as a Hindi in India :) So there are a lot of old people who have gone there to die. It's fascinating!

Great piece - really enjoyable!!

That is interesting! (and good to know where one would be assured hospice jobs if that were your career path)

Thanks!

Very cute concept! I'm totally curious about Code Gold, too, naturally.

I've got a vague idea, but I think the readers might come up with better possible destinies for that new soul in Sri Lanka than I would. =)

Hmm, I hope he gets a better job next time, too. It's interesting how the Storck dude is talking one thing and treating his underlings another....

I like getting these "I see what you did there" comments. =)

I'd like to think he'll have a better job in the next century.

I'm glad! I like when people like my comments. :)

I think so, too; switch out the bad jobs so no one has one twice. :)
