I watch with a mix of puzzled amusement and amused puzzlement the stories of how in the days since the election -- President Obama's re-election -- that petitions have popped up from practically every state asking to secede from the Union

Will somebody bleed? I doubt it. The secession movement started after his *first* inauguration. Look at all those folks in Alaska... hi Sarah Palin, you twit. Bottom line is, I think that the vast majority of people would *never* pick up a weapon and take part in a Civil War... there are lots and lots and lots of chickenhawks out there. Think of all of those people who cheered the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan but who would never pick up a weapon themselves. It's a lot of fodder for the internets led by people like Trump and Rush Limbaugh that will amount to nothing in the larger picture. People are willing to sign something but not so willing to risk their own safety.

That being said, yeah I can see a lone nut or two and trying to pull another Oklahoma City, sadly enough. I mean, we saw a sitting Congresswoman get shot in the head. The right-wing is stirring up a TON of fear and anger and there are always a few people who will commit acts of terror because they didn't get their way. It's sickening.
