Among the responses I got to this post Wednesday was links, courtesy of cernowain , to modifications to that classic "patriotic" painting.

Here is the same painting, but run your mouse over it and note the captions have been modified to reflect reality. Yes, I think those quotes are real.

I know, that's why I laughed out loud. It was one of those 'oh, god, the truth hurts,' pained laughs. The David was a journalism major, and now works for CNN (in master control).

I seem to get the original version when I click on that first link, with just a ShortPacked logo added at the top. The captions are the same as if I followed the original link in the linked posts. Am I missing something?

Just checked it and it seems to work for me. When you mouse over it should have different items in that box to the right than the "explanations" of the elements in the original.

Ah, that explains it!

I don't keep my webbrowser at full-screen, so the "explanation" was off-screen to the right. All I was seeing was the little pop-up texts.
