(Aside: I was going to agree you should read more Spooks fic because I've read heaps of amazing stuff lately , but then I realised you wrote it all, so. Dear fandom: write more!)

As for the idea, I'm pretty sure I've seen it floating around the place for years. *g* It would be an interesting AU to continue... 409/410/501 rely heavily on Adam being Harry's friend and confidant so the entire plot of everything would go very AU very quickly - but would the coup still be avoided? Would Ros still come to Five? Would Ruth still leave? Hmmmmm. I have no time but I would be very, very excited were you to pick this up and run with it in any shape or form... *hopeful grin*

Ha, the waffle chef is a They Fight Crime prompt lost_spook gave me - it's wonderful and I actually have it all plotted out, but no time to write it up.

:D I still haven't got round to actually going back through Spooky_doings/hustle comm/Lewis comm as I was trying to clear the hard drive a bit, but I shall! Ahem.

Fandom should totally write more.

It would be a very interesting au to explore - as you've noted, absolutely everything could change, so would it be able to carry on, or would the entire thing fall apart? (ie if no Ros then no Ruth leaving, for one tiny example). I will have a think about it, in the future, because if I think about it now I will get further distracted from the wip pile, and...no.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I see. I have a they fight crime fic (but not from the prompt site, weirdly) that's about halfway done, but it's one of those where I have NO idea where it came from (it's a Ruth and Tariq au - IDEK).

How on earth did I miss this? I LOVE IT. Do you know what struck me the most? How badly I wished Fiona and Ros had met in canon. But it almost doesn't matter because you write it so fluidly here that I feel they did. Wonderfully in character.

Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it. In my personal canon, everyone who used to work at Six knew each other, and everyone who used to work at Five back in the day knew each other. OBVIOUSLY. :)
