They finally hired me. Full time, benefits, and the salary is not as bad as I thought it might be. YAY. Most importantly, I get to break my dependency on partial unemployment.
Ooo, if you're looking for home improvementy stuff, tell him to go to apply at Lowe's. A friend works there and he said that employees get first dibs on the return stuff and they usually get it for real cheap. He got a $150 coffee maker for like $20. They didn't want to put it back on the floor because the box was all torn up.
That's awesome! The problem with this crappy economy is that most of the home goods stores like Lowe's and Home Depot pay more or less the same as what he's making and he's been there for almost a year now. He's moved from cashier to part-time sales, so even though the company is fail he sort of has to stay since he wants to go into sales.
