I'm not sure what the difference in attributes between these two are, but you are definitely a watery being. I would lean more toward the nymph because I think they're more introverted and mysterious.

Somehow especially Degas made my think of Water Nymph because of his style of painting. *grins*

Of course also your love for water and your character traits speak for it.

Mermaids are somewhat more playful than Water Nymphs in my opinion...
