Another week come and gone! We are now in our thirty-sixth week running, as you can see, from April 25th (Monday) through Sunday, the first of May. Anne's birthday is this week! And the month changes right at the end of it

If you're looking for a consensus, I have almost no problem with this.
My only things are...first, I have a lot of back-logs already that still need finishing, stuff that goes as far back as December, I think a lot of people have an abundance of unfinished logs, and probably a lot of questions about what their Charges have been up to all this time that everyone's been so busy and quiet.
Another thing is it can actually be a lot of trouble to try and log things out, without doing anything that can change what's happened in the interim. Continuity can be difficult or at the very least kinda put a damper on playing when you're doing backdated logs, especially long ones.
Those questions are kind of first priority for me, but assuming they could be worked out for everyone, some backdated logs would probably be good I think. Granted I am babbling BUT, wanted to throw in my 2-cents. Mostly I just think everyone should get back on the same page if we're going to move forward with the game all together.
My basic assumption is that life continues on per-usual. Misono sees Aiba several times a week, tidies up and cooks and generally beams up at him happy to have him. I make the assumption that she's spamming Mister Jam with pictures of her cat, sending random pictures of sex toys or pictures of her outfits to Osaka and generally staying in touch. It's much easier than trying to explain why the people she loves have fallen out of touch
( ... )
I would almost think like a game-hiatus until we can all talk amongst ourselves and figure out where we've been and where we'd like to go, and to wrap up the loose ends of the logs we never got the chance to finish, so when we do jump back in, we're all starting fresh.
Because yeah, I can't imagine just because we all got busy with RL...that our characters weren't still interacting as they had before.
Also if this is repetitive in any way it's because LJ may or may not have eaten my original reply to you just now o.O Not really sure what happened. ANYWAY. ♥ I agree it would be nice to tweak things to make it slightly less pressure, slightly more easy-going and still let us play together.
That works for me, and Anne, too. I've been such a zombie as of late and I have a feeling it's only going to get worse as this trimester wears on. Second trimester things should even out a bit more and maybe things can get going again.
I don't think we should put a time limit on it, maybe? Just until we're caught up, though maybe the time limit would help speed that along as well.
The time limit was mostly for active players who might want to start new threads. As I said to Aiba and Nino--a lot of the no-play is about wrapping old threads and getting everybody on the same page.
I have prego brain
LOL you're not far enough along to have pregnancy brain. That's third-trimester when your hormones are higher, you've slept less, and your brain is literally not as plump as it used to be. Right now, you're just tired. :D But in a few months, once you've spent a half an hour looking for your car--in tears--and then B reminds you that you WALKED OVER...that's pregnancy brain.
I'm probably the only one who feels this way, but: I feel like this game is dying, and I'm not sure that taking a month off will really change that. I wish it weren't so, but...
At any rate nothing interesting happens to Nino, so taking the rest of the month and May off shouldn't change his life much. It would be fine with me.
You're not the only one :/ But it could be revived, I think everyone was diverted for awhile but if we all put our heads together and tried to lay out where we stand and where we want to go it might still be playable.
I'm inclined to agree with Misono, that maybe finding an alternative time-passage might give us all a bit more breathing room. Like maybe instead of week changes, do month changes, and give players a chance to play within a month instead of a week. Maybe. Idk.
While there is definitely something to be said for breathing room, it also seems like there is a lack of interest in the game period. I wonder if it wouldn't help to do as you said; make a general idea of what happened in May and move on. I don't think that picking up on all the old logs will do much at this point. I can't remember what I was even doing in most of them.
I'm all for going for a month-change or something. As for old logs--as long as everybody involved wants to end it that would be fine but otherwise, I'm all for letting people play out. (Okay, okay, it's just because Misono is stripping in a sex shop on Valentine's Day.)
But yeah, the game has been feeling dead. I'm hoping that people are going to come back when things calm down--providing summer term isn't packed. I like our game and I hope maybe taking off some pressure will draw them back.
It's been chaotic for everybody, so don't worry at all!
I think, at this point, we're going to be continuing on as we are. If we do a month of no-play/back-play/catch-up I'll be sending everybody a PM/e-mail/AIM to let them know and to find out what their charge is/will be getting up to during the game-hiatus. At that point I'll post a list of 'this is what's going on for so-and-so' and we'll all decide a 'this is our start point and this is how we're going on from here' kind of thing.
I'll also, during that time, be asking people to contact each other and figure out if they want to keep playing a thread or close it down. If they want to close, they can decide what happened and post a kind of 'wrap up' comment to say how that ended.
