Misono's directions were... interesting and somewhat amusing. Meisa was fairly certain that if she had followed them, she would have been lost somewhere in Brooklyn. Luckily, her friend had included the address, enabling her to find (proper) directions online. The way over to Misono's was spent trying to see how closely her directions coincided with the ones Meisa had been able to get. It had become a sort of treasure hunt and she was glad that she had left early enough to have time for a little adventure and fun.
Looking at her watch as she crossed the last street, she realized that she was actually running a little bit late and hurried down the block. Misono's building was at the end and Meisa paused to look at the address she had written down... and to perhaps also catch her breath. It came out in a tiny groan a second later

Misono had her hair up and was just finishing wrapping the aprons in tissue paper when she heard the knock on the door. "Kitty von Catcat!" she called as she hurried out of her room. Kitty von Catcat rolled over in the hallway and batted at a chip of wood that had probably come from their table. "You were supposed to let me know before she knocked, you silly thing!" she chided as she pulled open the door. Meisa was flushed and pretty and happy looking on the other side

By the time Misono had opened the door, Meisa had caught her breath enough to smile and quickly greet the luck sprite - "Hi Mi-chan-san~" - before she was pulled into Misono and Yesung's apartment. As her mind processed what her friend was chattering on about, she took a quick glimpse around the interior of the apartment. It was neat (save the mountain of supplies and ingredients on the kitchen counter Meisa assumed they were going to be using to make chocolates) if a little... rundown, would probably be the best (and politest) way of describing it

Misono was pretty sure that Yesung was just working too hard. Even though he was still only working short shifts he HAD had broken ribs and there HAD been another full moon. He would stop being tired soon and maybe he wouldn't have headaches then, too.
And while Yesung was important, he wasn't present. Misono ripped open the tissue paper over her own apron. It was pink-white-brown striped with brown swiss dot bordering it top and bottom and making the pockets. The tie was pink with brown swiss dots. That meant Meisa's match was the one that had green stripes in with the pink and brown and white. She was going to be so pretty! "I wanted to! I was making an apron for me to wear for making chocolate and when you said you'd come, I had more fabric left over and the matching stuff. Because they're remnants. So it wasn't anything at all!" And unlike being polite, she meant it. It was just as easy to sew two aprons as it was one. "I didn't make Yesung one because I don't have a good pattern." She wasn't really thinking about

The first thing Yesung smelled when he opened the door was chocolate. And not the chocolate people sometimes smelled like when they'd been out on water too long. No, honest to goodness chocolate.
Next he smelled rain water, soft, minerals, cool. And then there was the smaller smell of ripening melon that magic made, and lemons and basils underneath that.
Misono and her stalker friend were making chocolate. Probably surprise chocolate, because Misono had been odd all week, "Taste this~~!" and giggling. He smiled and called out to give them warning. "I'm home!"
Meisa had been deeply focused on the task at hand so when Misono shrieked, she shrieked as well and almost dropped the mold she was holding. Placing her hand over her heart to calm herself down, she put the mold down in case there were any other surprises to be had. Thank goodness they were pretty much done. It would have been disappointing if they hadn't been able to get a majority of the chocolates done before Yesung had come home.
The two of them had been quite a force to be reckoned with. It had been utterly crazy in the thick of it, but it had been so much funShe watched Misono bound off towards the front door and smiled amusedly at Kitty von Catcat perched on the countertop. "Good work Kitty von Catcat, I'd say this was a success

He felt his smile grow when he heard Misono shriek, followed by a more unfamiliar shriek, the stalker friend, Yesung guessed. So he'd surprised them. He was taking his coat off when Misono skidded to a stop in front of him. "Do I get chocolate, too?" he asked when she started blathering about who they'd made it for. Yum, chocolate
