Trudging through the last few steps, Meisa glanced around to see if anyone was around as she buzzed Maki's apartment. No one. The little pack of people she'd been walking with had long since passed by. She cast a quick drying and warming charm - so much better! - as she waited for Maki to let her in.

"Meisa, is that you? Come on up," she greeted with a smile into the receiver, bumping the button that would unlock the door. Then she unlocked her own door, leaning in the doorway to wait for Meisa's appearance in the stairwell.

Something felt different about her friend. If pressed, Meisa would say Maki looked... content. She'd ask later though, when they were deep in conversation. It wasn't something she wanted to bring up out in the hallway anyway.

It was hard to shake her own amusement. Until Meisa brought up Maki's favorite, current, Broadway show.
"Oh Wicked is wonderful, you really do need to see it. Have you read the book?" It had been awhile since Maki herself read it, but it still stood out as one of those books that just really shined in her memory.

Wicked had been on Meisa's list of to-see musicals since she read the book. She had been disappointed to miss the LA run of Wicked because of studying for her board exams.
"I have! Is the musical as good as the book? I feel like I should re-read the book before I see it!"

It made Maki think, it might be fun... "We should have a movie night sometime, and watch some old Disney movies." It had been much too long since Maki indulged herself in watching some of the nostalgic movies.
"It's not as good, they definitely changed some things, but it's still pretty amazing to see. It's very well done. When I went to see it, I went right home and re-read the book again."

She imagined that the two of them would probably end up singing along karaoke style. It'd be a ton of fun. "Just, maybe not Bambi. I always end up crying."
Well, now Meisa wanted to see Wicked even more than before. Maybe she could tide herself over by re-reading the book...
