Warnings: A kappa with a bad temper gets a cold bath?
There were more people in Bluebell than Nino remembered there having been for a long time. About half the house was full, though several of those tables would be leaving shortly and at least two were on desert and talking. Nino and Andy were doing their best to be attentive at all times - Nino hadn't even had his lunch break yet. He hoped things would settle soon, but until the tables cleared he wouldn't even let himself think about a break.
He went back into the kitchen and hovered at the side of the cook. "Have that soup of the day for me, Paulo?"
The cook grunted and nodded at his assistant, who obediently came with the bowl. Nino took it and put it on his tray, smiling. "Thanks, Jamie," he said, "Tell Paulo to give you a raise."
Jamie snorted good naturedly and Paulo grunted. Nino left to bring the soup out to its eagerly waiting customer. At least good business meant less worry at the end of the holiday season.
