YAY! I'm still missing the old Mitchell but I'm not as disappointed because he was still quite good and didn't look anything like he did in the promo pics. :)
I really liked him, he had great intensity, but he didn't seem very Mitchell-like. I know it's a purposely dark scene but he seemed to lack Mitchell's playfulness and I think that (mixed in with all the brooding) is what makes the pilot character so enjoyable. I really hope they haven't made him too sombre, but I guess I won't be able to judge properly until we see him doing some of the same scenes as Guy.
I can't say anything wrong about the new guy... only that he's NOT the Mitchell I loved in the promo/pilot/whatever it was. Original!Mitchell had such a great voice, and great control over his body. He was so lethargic and moved so slowly (when he wanted) and... bah. His eyes seemed to do the blackness better also :\
But ahh well. We haven't seen him with George, have we? Mitchell away from George was quite dark and intense, so maybe once we see him with George we'll be pleasantly surprised? ^^
Glad you think so too! You're right the voice and mannerisms are off: Mitchell, in my head, is more fluid and subtle. I think it'll all rest on the chemistry between him and George and whether they manage to pull that off twice.
I really want to see what Lenora Critchlow does with Annie. Again, I think she's a great actress, but based on her previous work I can't see her playing Annie the way I liked so much :$

Nice to see them doing such a lovely thing and then not region locking it once its on YouTube like so much of their content!
I really like new!Herrick, the more I watch this. He's VERY different to pilot!Herrick, but I think he works, particularly with new!Mitchell, who is definitely growing on me. Though I will always miss pilot!Mitchell.
