LOL I love how you wrote a whole paragraph about how awesome David is and how much you respect him, and then Billie gets, "Because she's hot." Nuff said. XD
I'm actually okay with GitF and the s5 two-parter by now, but I'm with you on Daleks in Manhattan. Ugh. Whoever thought that making 'human-Daleks' would be a good idea needs their head examined.
There are, of course, a myriad of reasons why Billie Piper is one of my favorite actresses ever. But that one seemed like a good summary. :-p
Uuuuuuugh uuuuuugh Daleks in Manhattan. The accents! The oh-wait-I-forgot-to-care-about-you minor characters! The awful human-Dalek hybrid! Martha being whiny! I don't even know. Bad. Bad.
Just out of curiousity, do you think Girl in the Fireplace shouldn't have been made because it's actually bad (like the unspoken S5 double and the Daleks double are just plain bad, I agree), or because you think it ignores the Ten/Rose relationship, or what?
It's not that I don't like it; there's so much about it that I do like. But not enough to justify its placement. For me personally, anyway. It's like...like Kali said, if this episode had happened in s3, it would have made a lot more sense and would have been easier to enjoy. It's just that it comes at a time where the Doctor/Rose relationship had been so established, and then it's like they might as well put a PSA at the beginning of Girl in the Fireplace that says "for the next 45 minutes we ask you to forget everything we've told you."
LOL. So actually, you don't wish it wasn't made. You just wish that crazy Moffat bloke hadn't been asked to do a Season 2 episode, because then he'd have used this idea later. Fair enough.
Yeah, exactly! It's a brilliant episode idea, and the colors are gorgeous, and the historical aspect is so interesting. So yeah, maybe I don't really wish it hadn't been made. Just that it had been made at a later date. :)
I don't know man, I'm attracted to David in kind of a "man you are awesome, I wish you were my best friend or uncle so we could hang out" way, and also in a "your hair is the best hair there ever was" way, but not really in the "OMG you are the sexiest sexy beast" way shared by much of fandom. I DON'T KNOW, MAYBE I AM A FREAK.
And you're weeeeelcome :D Thanks for sending me the bigger version!
This is me catching up your LJ posts! :D (I've been sadly neglecting to read yours thoroughly and only barely skim through my f-list!)
Also his smile is cuter than most puppies. YESSSSS. Good grief, that gif is the best ever. That smile is ridiculously adorable! Plus, I loooooove your description of why David's your favourite Who actor.
Because she's hot. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Very succinct.
What is this unmentionable two-parter in S5? I have no idea what you are talking about. *eyes shiftily*
Ooooh the creepy black-webbed picture story! I really really like that one!
