2. I'm pre-ordering a few copies of Mockingjay and I need to spend more to get free shipping. So, if anyone has it/has seen it: Is it worth it to get the Journal of Impossible

Dude, just get a Paid account. I don't regret it at all. And as nice as the extra icons are, the best bit is having the ability to edit comments after you've made them. That is NICE. It's the same price as buying, like, a single t-shirt. And even if it feels silly to spend money on non-solid internet convenience, you'll probably get just as much enjoyment from it as you will your screwdriver.
