I can't believe it. We paid off our car this morning. I checked the bank balance this morning, and the tax money was there, so at 9:00 precisely, Tom got up (he stayed home today to make sure everything went well) and calmly did the online payment

Thank you, Everybody! I still don't think it has sunk in. We're both a little dazed still. And, the money won't be there immediately because we'd planned to make a payment next week anyway, and we'll actually be *short* for a few more weeks, but in the next few months, it will make a huge difference. Thank you!
