Wow. What a good job of really getting into somebody else's head! Of course, it is a wonderful illustration of so many of the things wrong with our prison system: we need some kind of way to inside people's heads and replay what happened, so we can know for sure that we are punishing the right people, and not punishing innocent people. I also love the ending! By the merest little thing, we escape horrible fates. And we go away, oblivious, maybe even mad, not knowing what we escaped. Love it!!

Thanks, Mom. You know, that is a really interesting idea, and I've seen it in movies before - looking inside people's heads for the "real" story. Maybe I'll explore that, too! Thanks for the inspiration! :)
