Crowded House drummer, Paul Hester is dead at 46.

I know this is a strange thing to post, but I know there's some Crowded House fans on my flist, and this isn't likely o make the US news.

I've just realised I don't actually own a Crowded House album; you kind of don't have to, the way they're all over the radio.

Bloody hell! People of my generation just cannot be dying already. Poor man, and his poor daughters and girlfriend.

I was so surprised that was his age. He always seemed very young to me. I had no idea he had depression.

If it makes you feel any better, the men always drop off before the women. Plus, people of every generation seem to be dying lately.

It is a shocker. He just always seemed so ubbeat- which should probably have been the big tell, really.

He did...he had just such a great manner and when Crowded House was still together, he had ENORMOUS energy onstage.

This is so sad. I think I'll go get my CDs and play them in honour of him.

I'm at work, but I'm going to put the radio on and I have a feeling I'm going to hear a bit of Crowded House today.

I know all the words to so many of their songs. You forget how insidious music can be. In a good way. ::rambles::
