So... the school's closed today. There are major wildfires over much of Southern California, including one affecting Santa Clarita. The school hasn't been touched by it, but most of the schools in the area are closed, there are a ton of road closures, and people are being evacuated ( Read more... )

Wow that remind me of the hurricane right after I moved to FTL.

Stay safe, and make sure you have gas in your car, and anything you need if you are stuck at home for awhile!

Yikes. Stay safe.

The CBC here on the island are including the fire talk in the newscasts. We are catching the north end of the same weather system. No fires, just a mild breezy day.

They mentioned firefighting crews(Martin Mars waterbombers)from here are heading to California and some from Quebec are already there.
