GG-palooza and grad school interviews (strangest vacation combination ever!)

Feb 21, 2007 13:59

Okay. Let's attempt to do a recap of the past week and a half. I've got the afternoon, the forums are relatively slow, and hopefully I can finish this (as long as I go chronologically, so I don't forget anything!) by the time I leave work at 4:30. Let's see how it goes. Hee.

Saturday: It's warm here! )

takin' a vacation!, travel, friends, school, the internet, ggmm

It's nice hearing about your adventures during the GG/TWoP extravaganza! It really was a spectacular trip - better than I ever could have imagined. The best part was making so many new friends, specifically, Ellen Degeneres. Her people have already contacted me and I've been instructed to report to NBC Studios for my apprenticeship beginning the first week of March.

Quit laughing.

Seriously though, it was a trip of a lifetime! I just posted my recap of the first two days in Cali. It's practically a novel. I thought I'd give the readers a rest before posting days three, four and five. Because I care.

I LOVE YOUR ICON!!!

*ahem*
*stops yelling*

That's awesome.

I decided to just get it all done in one shot, but I'll do a picture entry later, once I have my computer back and I can upload them. Other than that, people can just suck it up and read it all... or, you know, skim. Or ignore me altogether.

I'm glad you enjoy my icon. It's here to stay.

Believe me, I envy you for summing it all up in one post. I didn't have the patience to do so with mine. So, it will have to wait for a rainy day.

I'm jealous!

I wonder, was the whole group cohesive or was it slightly cliquey? Did you hang out with GGMMers more than anyone else? Just curious.

Ummm... since I was dividing my time, I actually didn't hang out with anyone as much as some of the others did. There was a bit of GGMMness, but not too much--things were fairly cohesive. We constantly had people coming and going, though--all 17 (I think that's how many there were total) of us were never in the same place at the same time, so it was a constantly shifting dynamic.

I did hang out with Pink a fair bit, but that's also because I knew she was coming to Calgary next, so we'd get to hang out even more here.

I tried! It wasn't always easy, being the only one there, but I did my best. :o)

Thank you! I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on how it's going.

That sounds like an awesome (but tiring!) week.

When will you hear about the grad school stuff?

I'm still waiting to hear from Brooklyn College as to whether I even got an interview. As for CalArts, they said they'll make the decisions by mid-March at the latest.
