Well, I'm back. It's been a pretty long day--that's what I get for flying out at 7:20 AM, which meant getting up at 5:30 (which is really 4:30 AM in California time). Alida didn't vote today, but she isn't even sure if she'd have been allowed to vote in two separate federal elections at the same time anyway.

I've been meaning to ask you if you were allowed! But if you could only pick one, the US one is probably more interesting/important. Especially if you were voting in Alberta, which seems to be just a formality anyway.

I could have registered for my absentee vote and then found out whether they'd let me or not, but I just didn't get around to it with the Canadian election. I voted absentee from New York last time, but at that point, I wasn't technically a U.S. resident, and I wasn't voting in the U.S. at all. Now, I'm a registered voter in California, so I'm not sure how it'd all work out.
