I'm about this * * close to buying a digital camera. Budget-Be-Damned!! Don't know where the bug came from, but it bit me hard yesterday. I'd like a 4+ megapixel camera, but it's probably more reasonable to get a 3.2 instead. I mean, how large do I really need the prints to be? Are you thinking a digital point-n-shoot, or a digital SLR? I have a Canon A80, and I LOVE it. If I could afford it, though, I'd get a Canon digital SLR so I could use all my other lenses and whatnot. Gotta love the whatnot.

Realistically, I only need a point and shoot model, since I don't know squat about photography and therefore cannot (and should not) justify anything fancier. Even if my gadget lust tells me otherwise. I've been considering a Canon A85, a Nikon Coolpix 3200, or a Nikon Coolpix 4100. The little capitalists that live inside my head tell me that I should want a 4.0 Megapixel camera, but they don't always have my best interests at heart, so now I'm trying to figure out how many Megapixels I really need.

The funny thing about lusting after a digital camera is that (right now) we don't have a computer to download the photos onto. We're working on that, but I think that my desire to have a camera in my hot little hands will force (force, I tell you!) me to buy a camera before we buy the eMac.

My sister-in-law just got a digital camera for Xmas, and SHE doesn't have a computer, so seriously don't let that stand in your way. (Am I being a bad influence? Ha ha.) You can always get the pix burned to CD and just get prints made when/if you want them.

Cameras = good. :)

(blink) Cord Camera?
I popped over from a comment you left in mimazu's journal to look around, and I was skimming when I found this. The last Cord Camera I was in was in Delaware, Ohio, which is where I went to college. Are you local to there, or did they get to be a lot bigger outfit?

Cord Camera is still a local chain. One of their main stories is local to me, but I'm not in Delaware (although it is certainly within reasonable driving distance). I take it you went to OWU?
