Interestingly, I am at a point in my life where it's THIS album that resonates strongly in my life. I don't spend much time thinking directly about mortality, but lately I have been stuck on the general futility of the lives we lead.

Ah, interesting-- I could be wrong, but it sounds like we're in a similar spot at the moment. The futility of life, the need to actually form and LEAD those lives (which I've done both successfully and unsuccessfully), and mortality? Oh yeahhh. I've been through an illness now, and it's brought aging and illness and death into a new kind of focus for me.

At times, I feel hopeless, but I have a sense of humor about life and the living of it, and I keep trying new things and searching for inspirations, and stickin' around to watch the show... the show of Life, if it's not clear. ha!

I haven't listened to that album in a long time. Maybe tonight, I'll revisit it a bit.
