I love that you took this simple idea and ran with it and what you did with it. And I love your characterization of Arthur in this. Especially the way he talks. “I don’t count. You gave me candy,” Arthur explains. “I like anyone who gives me candy.” Awesome.
lol Yes, we in the midwest make frequent use of the expression. 'BFE' can be a legit descriptor when giving directions.
For some reason, Arthur popped into my head the last time I heard someone else use the expression and then the idea just sorta ran away with me. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting!
Oh I really liked this! You've got wonderful snippets of backstory (and future) concerning Arthur, all the while revolving around how his relationship with Eames changes through time. I think Arthur's character here is great; “Have we retired?” Arthur flat out asks. Fantastic job.
