I agree with you--I feel like the writers gave Eliot a date to reassure people that he's not sitting at home in the dark crying because the others are having a couples moment, but they probably could have picked a better time because, as you said, he really did seem too injured for a lay to be (a) enjoyable or (b) a good idea.

So yeah, I really enjoyed (and much preferred) this as an episode tag. It had the perfect amount of comfort, (Hardison cares too! :) ) and holy moly, I am utterly surprised at how much I love your Gail! She's awesome and I would absolutely read many more stories of her and Eliot snarking at each other. Thanks! :)

Yeah it just felt off for them to have Eliot leave with a chick after that. I mean, there were so many other episodes where it would have fit so much better.

I don't know why, but it honestly felt OOC to watch an injured Eliot go off with a "hot chick". Not that I think he's a monk or anything, I just feel like he's a bit too professional to go off for a lay when he's obviously hurt.

See, that's why this is canon. No really, my first thought upon seeing that bit was "Aww, Eliot, showing off much?" In my head, he doesn't want to admit weaknesses and has by threat of violence (and possibly denial of cooking anymore) forbid thoe others to fuss about him. And let's face it, he sure would have a personal doctor who asks no questions, so why not a hot nurse? *g*

Yeah I like to think it was a combination of Eliot not wanting to show weakness and Gail really just being a nurse showing up to treat his wounds.

I enjoyed this a lot. :D Eliot walking off with a random hot chick just seemed so off-kilter. I much prefer the idea that he has people outside the team to help him!

It just bugged me. I started writing this fic in my head as soon as the episode ended. I just needed a reason for his behavior, I suppose. And I love the idea of Eliot having contacts outside the team.
