Here's a list of my Firefly Recommendations (mostly fic). Organized by pairing (or lack-of) and in alphabetical order. Some with my own notes, some without.

Between the Lines by naughtyelf - RATING: R WORD COUNT: 9,748 SUMMARY: "This is what happens when subtext becomes text." MY NOTES: Missing scenes from the BDM.
Interlude by sffan - RATING: R WORD COUNT: 789 SUMMARY: "Missing scene (Movieverse): Just give the setting, this takes place after Mal forces the crew to "reaverfy" the ship and he goes off on his own to mourn in private."
Invulnerable by Wolf Maid - RATING: T WORD COUNT: 1,669 SUMMARY: "One Shot. MalSimon. Set after 'War Stories.' Someone has to see him as human. 'Mal seems whole, seems normal and stable and solid except for the thin scars trembling through his eyes.'" MY NOTES: Nice hurt/comfort after an episode that needs it.
None So Blind by black_eyedgirl - RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: ~15,700 SUMMARY: "An injury puts Mal out of commission and forces him to realise that sometimes you have to trust that even when you can't crawl, there's those that will carry you." MY NOTES: I like this fic for its competent!Simon. There's too much fic out there where he's a bumbling idiot, so I like one where he's perfectly capable of being a contributing member of the crew. Plus, it's Mal/Simon.

River/Jayne
Caution by Fair-Ithil - RATING: T WORD COUNT: 1,232 SUMMARY: "Gorram girl knew everything there was to know. Except how fix herself...PostBDM, Rayne" MY NOTES: Good Jayne and River voices. I like the take on the relationship as well.
Sicut lilium iner spinas by lacesforalady - RATING: PG-13 WORD COUNT: ~4,800 SUMMARY: "Firefly/Torchwood crossover. Two of the crew fall through the rift…" MY NOTES: I really wish this fic was longer, but I enjoy it as it is. I love the characterization of River and how the Torchwood team reacts to her (and to Jayne).
Up On Your Feet by Lucifer's Garden - RATING: K+ WORD COUNT: 4,435 SUMMARY: "Jayne surprises the crew by giving River a rather heartening gift on her birthday. Post BDM, pre Rayne friendship."
Jayne/Simon
Glass Walls by Ana - RATING: R WORD COUNT: 9,669 SUMMARY: - "Prison. A bit of a possible future." MY NOTES: This is only very lightly Jayne/Simon...but I love the relationship between them. I love Jayne in a protective/caregiver role.
The Way Things Turn by evilmaniclaugh - RATING: NC-17 WORD COUNT: 71,918 SUMMARY: "When Simon is separated from the rest of the crew during a Reaver attack, the last person he expects to be rescued by is Jayne Cobb. How will the two men survive being abandoned together on a desolate rock?" MY NOTES: It's fic like this that makes me believe Jayne and Simon are somehow meant for one another...
