Violet/Purple is the most difficult color to create. Ultramarine blue and cadmium red mix like blood brothers, but the right shade of purple still eludes me. A touch of black, perhaps? Or orange ( Read more... )

Yeah, in Bangalore these days. However i'm off to Chennai next week, for Adiv's baptism.
What's new is just the baby. He keeps me busy all day!:)

Hey, how are you? :) Why a new journal?

yes, i've come back after a while :) i try to paint once in a while and have been doing a lot of it these two weeks, and have started looking at landscapes very differently since then. Got a lot to learn and none of the paintings are worth showing anyone, but the joy of painting is something else. Helps recharge...'am currently on a break and moving to a new place on 2nd.

Hope all well at your end.

just like rileen mentioned you write to well and u observe so beautifully! :) and i totally relate to that feeling coz everytime i see a dazzling sunrise/set - i'm usually restless and dissatisfied and not being able to capture that beauty onto my canvas or even camera ever. But once i'm over the mess of my mind, i'm able to relax and love everything about nature. its really gorgeous!
