The library should get Casual Vacancy for me soon, but I'm still not really excited about it? I might let my mom read it first, although, based on the reviews, I'm not sure she'd like it. (Me either, but it REALLY doesn't sound like her thing. :P)
BTW, been meaning to tell you, now that I'm using the Kindle app instead of a Kindle, I TOTALLY get why you delete things completely from your Amazon account. Ugh, it's such a mess.
Ooooh, what did you get? I'm not spoiled, exactly, but I did read [Spoiler (click to open)]it was sad.
I don't want to be distracted, BUT I'm finding that less of an issue than I thought I would? Like, I've gotten texts a couple of times while reading and it's actually super-convenient to be able to respond and then go right back to my book. But my Paperwhite just shipped, so YAY!
And I guess I'm stuck with hard cover for this one? I don't mind switching over midway if it's still pretty earlier in the series, but I don't think I want to this close to the end.
I finished Blackout by Mira Grant, which has been hanging around my currently reading stack for MONTHS. I guess, ultimately, I'm a bit disappointed in the trilogy. There was so much STUFF to it and not enough STORY. I think that's how I feel.
I also read a couple of books I've seen around a lot, but wasn't sure I'd ever read. And, in both cases, I'm glad I did!
Storm by Brigid Kemmerer is a YA paranormal, but NOT AT ALL the repetitive kind that was so popular before dystopia took over YA. It's just about a group of people with special powers, very low key romance, third person!
Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey, the first in the Kowalski series. Contemporary romance. This seems to be a hard genre for me to like, but I like this one a lot! Older couple, fun family, etc.
Oh! And His Very Own Girl by Carrie Lofty is indeed good and an amazing example of historical romance. Check it out!
I don't even know what to say! Let's see if I get the spoiler HTML right. [Spoiler (click to open)]So Shaun and George are reunited and everything's pretty good there. UM. They end up going to DC and find out the ~real conspiracy is they can never actually cure/get rid of the virus, but the CDC doesn't want people to know because . . . I forget. So anyway they cloned George to bring her back to force Shaun until telling the world . . . whatever lie they want the world to believe????? But they get away and blow up the White House and Becks died to save them all and they told the world the truth about the virus and Shaun and George went off together to hide out in the wilderness of Canada, I guess. And Maggie and Alaric get married??? I couldn't keep track of the secondary romances.
LOL. You should read my GoodReads review because I said I couldn't really explain what happened, haha!

Also, Pink X has a cover! i definitely like it more than the others since they went to photography. I sill mourn the art covers.

I'm definitely happier about it than I have been some of them.
