The mass market cover is TERRIBLE. Actually, I hate the people that are designing her covers now period. They used to be so pretty and now they're just awful.

I hope you end up liking it! I'm going to have to give some of the other books nominated last month a try, they all looked so good. And absolutely! Feel free to nominate a book as many times as you want.

Actually the picture isn't so bad, but the typo screams "romance novel", not "awesome ladies and spies". And I love romance novels, but man, they suck at pretty non-cliché covers. But I love the little wax pink carnation on the paperback cover, which seems to come back for future books! I love small recurring touched like that.

Haha, originally she wanted it marketed as a romance novel (which it's not), so maybe it's just things coming back full circle. And omg, romance novel covers are terrible. Sometimes when you get big enough named authors, like Nora Roberts where their name is the selling point they're not so bad, but for new authors? Ew. And yes! I love that seal. It's a nice bit of continuity across the series.
