A Little Princess/The Secret Garden, Sara/Colin, as I walked out one evening

Sara's guardian wants her to spend some time abroad and so she goes, first to London, then across the channel to Paris and by rail to Florence. She is weeks traveling, but the scenery is lovely and she feels very grown up with only her maid as accompaniment. She knows that Ram Dass worries very much about her all on her own, but she's a grown woman now and can certainly travel through civilized countries by herself

This is probably heavily influenced by the 90s movies that were adapted from both books. I have read them, my memories of the movies are just much more defined. Though I did do a little quick research to figure out key differences.

Ohhh, Sara and Colin are like my ultimate crossover OTP and this is a great, great take on a first meeting! I will always love the thought of Sara traveling to different lands just like we always knew she would. Colin’s initial haughtiness plus Sara’s insistence on helping him are sooo true to their characters. And she caught on to his regal bearing straightaway like I always pictured she would! I also love how they go from a brewing argument to an immediate understanding. :D

You're welcome! I had so much fun writing it and I'm glad you liked it so much. I'd never really thought of them as a crossover pairing before, but it really does make sense. :)
