I'm thinking of re-reading Sense & Sensibility since it's the Austen book I tend to avoid. I saw the movie before reading the book and I really didn't like the Emma Thompson adaption, which is considered blasphemous in some circles but whatever. Also thinking of re-watching the BBC adaptions that came out a few years ago since they were really well made and do the books justice.

I'm currently reading The Calculus Diaries by Jennifer Ouellet (I know, nerd alert). It's about the application of math in daily life explored through the author attempting to get over her fear of calculus. It's super informative, interesting all while being hilarious. She also wrote a book called The Physics of Buffyverse which I want to eventually check out.

On a last note IT'S FINALLY WARM AND SUNNY HERE! YAY FOR SPRING!

As I've gotten older, Persuasion has become my favorite of the books. I love nearly all of them (S&S leaves me cold most of the time), but there's just something about the way love is rekindled in Persuasion that I love the most.

That is rare for siblings. Or for kids to look like parents.

Where are you finding yours? Any specific comm, I mean. Just so I have a place to start.

I feel weird about saying Persuasion is my favorite of the books, but in a lot of ways, I think it is. For so long, the favorite was P&P that I have trouble replacing it. It's hard to compare the two because they're so VERY different. I don't love NA like the others, and as much as I love Elinor Dashwood, something about S&S just isn't as satisfying to me.

YES. I mean, it's not 100% perfect I guess, but then TV/movies never really is. It's about the closest I think I've ever seen.

I've been looking through the tags at austen_icons. That's been my starting point. I will let you know if I find more places, though!
