LJ brings clarifications!

In reaction to their first post, LJ's got fresh news, once again. I do believe it actually makes us safe.

And I quote:

Not all content involving underage sexuality is illegal -- but some of it is, and we can't allow that to be posted on LiveJournal. Rather than reply to every question, we (meaning our legal counsel and the LJ staff) would like to ( Read more... )

We just have to be wary of the fucktards who might want to report us because their panties are in a knot and they don't like slash Transformers. *rolls eyes*

Breeeeathe.

Hey, doesn't that sound familiar? -snort- But seriously, I think that even if they do, we won't get deleted or anything. It'll only be a marvelous waste of their time, and maybe a laugh for us.

Cheers!

I for one feel safe because of two things.

1) Like I said before, Nevada's age of consent is 16, and since Sam is, indeed, a Nevadian, he's legally allowed to have romantic liaisons with anyone he wants. Including robots. Which leads me to two...

2) BUMBLEBEE IS A GIANT ROBOT AND HE DOESN'T ANALLY RAPE SAM. So we're fine! :D

Good points! 18 might be the legal age for many things, but I know places (my dear province being one) where the age of consent is as far down as 14. So no problem there.

#2 is actually a little scary. Poor Sam. Really.

...Your icon is made of win. That stare is as freaky as they come!

Haha, besides Barricade's more of the ass-raper than Bee.

Barricade: BEND OVER, FLESHLING.

...oh dear I think I've scarred myself....

Ms. Beauregarde is undeniably freaky. Figured she made a good /stare icon XD

Thanks for having that mental image stuck in my head. I don't think I will be able to sleep tonight. O_O

Is pornish_pixies still around?

Because they're the benchmark-- if they're still up and running (and they do sometimes have explicit stuff involving alarmingly young children, or they did (but it was always written either with the angle that 'damn, these two kids are young' or 'damn, this teacher is sick and the kid doesn't want to be there')), then we, with our high school juniors and their big robot friend, don't really have anything to worry about. It isn't exactly child abuse with Sam (and Mikaela), just jailbait.

I don't know about that community, but I know the simple fact that there's no child abuse in this one. So why should it be any problem? Like LJ actually admitted: "Not all content involving underage sexuality is illegal."

I haven't seen any nc-17 fanart laying around unlocked, so as long as that doesn't change you should be fine. In practice LJ is a lot harder on visual art than textual, when it comes to communities.

That would probably remain our best protection. It's not fail-proof, but it will at least prevent outsiders from having access to the more mature content.
