Fic: Ratchet's Ponderings

Aug 28, 2009 20:26

Here the fifth installment of the 'Ponderings' series, meaning there's one full length chapter left and a smaller ficlet that ties in after that. Luckily this chapter is shorter than the previous one. Perfectly work safe, though there's a lot of big words. Blame Ratchet, not me. And if you guys have any suggestions or ideas for what to put in my ( Read more... )

So glad that you're enjoying it! I'm most likely leave the storyline open in case I ever get the urge to do another chapter from someone else's POV.

Laughs, this is so awesome, I love the sparkling, and that it turns out to have a human form, genius. I really want to know where the other sparklings came from though, grins, beside that, chuckles wickedly. God, I love this story. Sam's hysteria was completely justified, and poor Ratchet's almost melt down at the sheer improbability of what was happening, smiles delightedly.

Also bounces excitedly, what about Grandma Judy meeting the new baby? I would love to see that scene, wicked grin, she and Ron are going to spoil the kid rotten while totally confounding the autobots by being totally unfazed. Autobots panicking while Judy shakes her head, and say, "No, no, babies do that." This is so brilliant. Happy hum, thanks for sharing with us, I deeply appreciate it. :D -SB

'Grandma Judy' is up next and it's definitely going to be a chapter full of practically nothing both hilarity. After all, Judy Witwicky usually is nothing but hysterical.

I think It'll be in Ron's POV though to make Judy's actions more observable. I've got a nifty idea about panicked Autobots, a baby, and a binky.

And thank you once again for the great feedback! It just feeds my muse even faster.

Scary thought, how much damage could a toddler do with a direct connection to the world wide networks? How would the NSA react to being accidentally hacked by a two year old? Or another possibility what if as Thunderstreak matures he decides he is meant to fly? Or if in the sparkling body there is some unknown technology that develops on its own like space bridge tech that would allow him to jump anywhere he wants? At first it might only be with him getting into odd places in the Autobot base but later what if he did something like meet the President on accident?

An idea for much later what would happen if he ended up bringing home a Decepticon mech as a boyfriend?

Lots of possibilities.

Thanks for the credit though you did not really need to.

Thank you for the ideas and the new ones as well! What I think I'll do is finish up Ponderings with one more chapter, and then start a new (hopefully) shorter chapter series with the excursions of Thunderstreaker.

So glad that you're enjoying it! There'll be one more chapter in this series and then I'll be starting a new one which will star Thunderstreak and his...adventures.
