I would HAVE to agree on this one.

Even though Sam has come later on in the (general) TF world he still has a counter part in Spike from the older cartoons.

And how about this: I began writing fanfic with Kirk/Spock in the early 90s and have just now come to the wonder that is Bee/Sam. I remember so well being all freaked out when Spock said that line at the end of STII, but I didn't write slash for years after it. Now I know how it all fits together. =D

ETA: Sam is Kirk and Bee is Spock for totes.

Bee could be Kirk. You know, Command Yellow, amirite? Except that Sam freaks out too much to be Spock.

Bee is self-sacrificing and more logical, drawn to the technical.
Sam is more emotional, fickle (Mikaela lures him from Bee!), and risk-taking.

Yeah, but Bee also runs headfirst into conflict. He blew up Sam's room because the kitchen went nuts. He's prone to overkill.
