Fic prompt/idea

Oct 21, 2007 01:40

I don't know if anyone ever created a story based on such idea, 'cause it's quite simple and is basically a classic for any fandom.

Prompt: Body exchange.
Say, a lightning strikes the yellow Camaro while Sam is inside (or something less trivial happens) - and they wake up in each other's bodies. The possibilities are boundless: from crack-fic with ( Read more... )

I think it's a great idea! I would have written in myself if I weren't so bad at writing SamBee fics...it's not the fact that it's SamBee, it's just finding the right songs for Bee to use on the radio (researching lyrics and stuff). Otherwise I would have jumped right onto this one.

Great idea!

Hm, well, usually, asking for suggestions from other members can help. Maybe there should be a seperate topic for this. You know, for those of us who weren't raised around music or for those of us who are unable to think of the correct songs to fit the mood. I'm sure this would help everyone.

I'm glad you like it :) And I'd very much like to read what you might come up with!

About lyrics - when I need some song for Bee's radio, I just type the words I need in Google or Yahoo, and it usually suggests several songs. Quite easy ;) And I agree with bradley_wyatt - other members' help could be useful.

Have you ever been inside of a car when lightning struck? I've seen some reports about this and apparently no one inside was hurt. Kinda cool, huh? But bad at the same time. :(

Although, everyone inside the car is relatively unharmed, there are some damages to the car itself such as the antenna.

Aside from this fun information, I like the prompt and hope someone out there will execute a wonderful plot for this.

Thank God, I've never been in a car when lightning struck 0_0 I suggested it only as an excuse for a body-switch :) It could really be anything else - one of Wheeljack's experiments gone wrong, or the magic of the Halloween Night, it doesn't really matter :) Though, it does have some meaning if the boys are going to get their bodies back - the author would have to find an excuse for that, too :)

Forgive my presumptionness. I was just using the information as something interesting to look at.

Though, since Bumblee isn't a normal car, the Earth rules probably wouldn't apply. I mean, I watched Lois and Clark Adventures' lightning scene. So the same rules can apply here.

There are a few theories, such as the Energon that flows through Bumblebee's system would have some sort of adverse effect if lightning struck. There are many possibilities, but this is all I could think of.

Oh, it is an interesting information, and I thank you for that :) I'm just trying to fit all new data into potential plot as soon as I hear it :D

I haven't seen the TF series, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I suspect that there is no atmosphere on Cybertron, and therefore no clouds and no atmospheric pressure differences, and therefore no lightning as humans know it. But at the same time any transformer should be acquainted quite closely with a controlled high-tension current, since they are all mechanical-electronic creatures - and they must have some kind of protection from it to preserve their processors and circuits... So it's only natural that a transformer wouldn't be hurt by a lightning. Maybe even recharge his batteries from it :D

That's perfectly okay with me, and I think it would be a very interesting start for your Sam/Bee writing :)

And thank you ;)

Oh man, I totally would have to try this idea if I didn't already have two stories going on I could barely keep up with. But who knows, I may try a one-shot anyway...

One-shots are our everything! I'll be glad to read it if you do it :)

Oh, thanks for the link :)

I would go for it myself, but I've got the same problem - my attention/inspiration won't survive deviding between several stories.
