Not yet - but there are a LOT of people in my class that I haven't talked to yet. Is she a first-year pharmacy student specifically or is she just another member of the pharmacy program?

Not really. There's Baffin Bay about 10-15 miles southeast of Kingsville, but I don't know if that includes a viable beach or not. Every now and again you can feel a hint of ocean air, but it's not really a beach town.

I want to see photos! Especially of the creepy playground.
I've driven through a lot of little shithole Texas towns and got bored after being there for just ten minutes (Dairy Queen is only exciting for so long..), so I can't imagine living in one. Hang in there!

I'll try to take pictures of the playground, although I'm slightly afraid to go near it. Hopefully it's not as bad as it looks.

It's funny you should mention Dairy Queen - I have seen so many DQs while driving through tiny Texas towns than I have EVER seen around Austin. They're extremely popular in South Texas.
