10112012 Day 4 of Captivity

HELLNIGHT. It started innocently [typical] with a standard repair on a processor then International Beer Mafia hit a cable,
sending resources offline. Research, wake people up to assess impact over duration of recovery; then a tape library issue
which finally saw me hitting the sheets at 0300 with a 0615 wake-up call.

Hope tonight and the rest of the weekend goes better.

And i know that by "hit a cable" you mean "the dumb fucker unplugged something"... but I can't help but think of it in the context of heavy machinery hitting an underground cable...

Possibly because we both know that if *that* kind of epic clusterfuck was possible... it would happen...

It could be either -the way the cables feed into the processor for this type of connection does make this feasible.
Plus the part replaced is directly in that area, making it easy to bump cables -ICB4.

The sad part about the ICB4 cables is that the ones used for internal feeds have no serial # on the cable,
no unique identifier.
